Health & Safety / Training Solution of 2019

It is well known that the construction industry is bedevilled by two major issues, a poor record when it comes to safety on a building site, and a lack of trained and experienced construction workers. As both involve the wellbeing and capabilities of the workforce, we have combined them into a single award – for the product, set of courses or training programme that best exemplifies a commitment to establish, conform and drive standards forward. Judged by the panel, we are looking for examples of how either solution has improved safety standards by aiding the sharing of information across sites and organisations, or how it has benefitted the capabilities and the professionalism of the workforce.
